Sadly, when we got there, the fountain wasn't on. So, we just let Colin run amock on the quad and burn some energy. I snapped this picture of Colin and the bell tower on the off chance that in 16 years he decides to become a Boilermaker. In search of a fountain with running water, we then headed to Wabash Landing. Sorry that most of my pictures are of Colin's back. You can almost hear him shrieking, "water! water!" as he runs towards this fountain.
Mom and Colin cooled off with a little fountain spray.
Then we decided to take the pedestrian bridge over to Lafayette. It was more like a sweltering death march, but imagine a leisurely walk over the river here.

It was worth it because Colin loved seeing the river go by underneath. So much so that he decided to try to shove his head through the bars.

On the other side of the bridge is the train depot, where there is another fountain that kids can run around in. Colin wasn't too sure about getting soaked, but he did enjoy splashing around a little.
Water!
We had a fun, hot day. More pictures of Colin running around like a madman are here: http://tinyurl.com/3ovqhwwSunday afternoon, we headed back downtown for the sweet corn fest. If you're interested in pictures of a sweaty, mad toddler whose mean mommy wouldnt let him go down the bouncy slide, too bad, I didn't take any pictures. Who's ready for fall?
