morning at the market

We've spent most of our saturday mornings this summer at the farmer's market.  Today it was actually nice and cool and felt like fall, so we spent quite a long time there today.

All summer, Colin has been a big fan of watching the live music acts at the market.  He especially loves these two guys and a puppet that sing on the corner at the end of the market.  When we push up his stroller, they always say "there's our biggest fan" and then play "itsy bitsy spider" for Colin.  Today we finally gave in to C's pleas and let him walk without the stroller.  When we got to the corner, he sat right down in the street to watch them play (while eating a peach, as is his new tradition).

Later on, we were shopping when two kids from Colin's class ran up to him.  We've seen Jacob at the market a few times this summer, but somehow Jacob had already run into Juanita and before we knew it, they were having a class party.  He has more friends in this town than we do.  We later chatted with Juanita's parents while the two kids sat on the curb and talked.  J's parents were already quite familiar with Colin, as it seems he likes to give them a verbal report card on everything she did at school when they pick her up.  She kept trying to scoot closer to him, and then he'd scoot away.  Such a boy.

Then Colin just had to have some kettle corn since his friends had some.

Walking back to the car (he insisted on "carrying" the bag back to the car).  Great day at the market!
